Picking a good brunch spot in NYC can be challenging. There are so many great places to choose from. One of go to places when we can’t make up our minds, or when we need an impressive interior to wow family/friends is ABC Kitchen. Trust me the interior is a jaw dropper, every detail is meticulously accounted for down to the salt bowl. (which can be purchased next door for 25.00) What a brilliant marketing plan for ABC Home. After staring at and using the beautiful dishes for a little over an hour it is hard not to want to purchase them for your home. Onto the food…

Raw Diver Scallops with Concord grapes
The last place we tried raw scallops was at Isa in Williamsburg, and we were slightly disappointed. These Scallops on the other hand were fresh and flavorful. The sliced grapes and generous amount of rich olive oil gave this dish the kick that it needed. The presentation was gorgeous once again I wanted to add this bowl to my shopping cart.
Line Caught Tuna Sashimi marinated with ginger and mint
This was an app that we had a while back. The tuna was beautifully pink, fresh and accentuated with the olive oil and ginger and herbs. A strong elegant dish.
Ginger Margarita sauza trea anejo tequila
Jose loves his margaritas! If it is on a menu I’ll bet you that chance are good that he will order it, so no surprise here. This drink was great and according to Jose, would rank high in the NYC margarita scene…I feel a future post/guide coming on.
Akaushi Cheeseburger with herbed mayo and pickled jalapenos
Ok so if you have been reading this blog you have probably noticed a lot of burger posts. A certain someone is Burger Obsessed. From what Jose tells me, Spain is not known for their burgers nor are they easy to find, so Jose grew up burgerless and since coming to NYC, has been making up for lost time. Jose has shared his love for the burger with his spanish friends and when they come to visit a few of them take this love to a new level, eating 2 burgers a day. Hmm perhaps we should open a burger shop in Madrid….
Anyway, he has tried lots and lots of burgers and this one is not the top of the best burger list, but it’s up there. It better be good for the 22.00 price tag. Just a note, the french fries are excelent.
House Roasted Turkey Sandwich applewood smoked bacon, arugula and jalapenos
Nothing new here, just a well made tasty sandwich.
Chicken Salad
This deconstructed Waldorf salad was wonderful. definitely filling and a nice healthy option.
Sundae salted caramel ice cream, candied peanuts & popcorn, whipped cream, chocolate sauce
Wow! This was amazing, but then again what sundae isn’t.
Overall this place is great. It is wonderful for a romantic night out, a casual get together with friends, a drink with a fellow design obsessed BFF or a large get together with the extended family. We have done all four and each outing has been a success.
BTW their ABC’s smart marketing scheme paid off, we purchased a set of these mugs. They weren’t cheap, but we love them.

What a beautiful sundae! I feel like a girl who runs a blog called donuts4dinner should probably have that immediately. I love the cascading chocolate sauce.
