July and August are very slow months in the big working cities like New York. Who wants to be in NYC with this amazing weather… But charge your batteries because September is going to be quite interesting as two of the most underground food events are heading to New York.

Omnivore Festival:

Omnivore World Tour New York  will be in line with the this year trend in New York of pop ups, undergrounds dinners and Brooklyn!. Omnivore will be a series of classes and pop up “fucking good dinners”  where the space or fine dining style servers are no longer the start of the game, but the actual young chef.

The Omnivore Mobile Kitchen will be set-up in Dekalb Market in  Brooklyn, market made out of containers. In addition FREE Masterclasses will be held by the most talented young chefs of the moment in NY: like Ignacio Mattos and Jose Ramirez (ex-Isa), Carlo Mirarchi (Roberta’s, Blanca), Brooks Headley (Del Posto), along with visiting chefs Dominique Crenn (Atelier Crenn in SF) and Gita Seaton (Montreal’s Nouveau Palais).

– Omnivore’s French/No French Dinner with Dominique Crenn (Atelier Crenn – SF) and Alexandre Couillon (La Marine d’Alex – Noirmoutier) will be held in Dekalb Market during the French Day of Gastronomy. Pellegrino invite you to go back in time with a picnic in the magical heart of the Brooklyn Flea. Magnus Nilsson (Faviken Magasinet, Sweden), Bertrand Grébaut (Septime, France) and the Van Leeuwen crew (Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream, USA) will pay an avant-garde homage to vintage foods.
