Most people wake up early to go to the gym and start their day of on a healthy note. We on the other hand woke up this morning for a 9am tasting menu with champagne. One full belly, 2 naps and many coffees later I can find myself in a fairly awake state to write this post.
This morning was an adventure for sure! We walked to the random address, walked up the stairs and took in the most beautiful table setting we have seen for quite some time. It was dramatic. There must have been a few hundred candles running down the long table. A scene that vagely reminded me of lady and the tramp.
It was a funny scene filled of foodies fiddling around with their iphones and big SLR cameras, all trying to capture, tweet and post to facebook in order to show others what they were missing.
So the food was great. Even though we had absolutely no appetite we managed to consume the 4 course menu. There were very few complaints. Everything was pretty much spot on! Quite an accomplishment for chef Mauro Colagreco, seeing what he had to work with.
So here are the food pics…
