Le Grand Fooding 2014

Jose and I have always been in love with the Le Fooding events. The parisian based events made their way to NYC in 2009 and have been going strong every year since. Our first encounter with Le fooding was 2011 when Jose bought 2 tickets to Chef Mauro Colagreco’s  tasting menu. I would call it a dinner, except for the fact that it started at 9am!!! Despite the time, it was an meal to remember.

In 2012 the chef list was just as spectacular bringing in some of the most exciting chefs from Europe and the states.  It was fun to see these celebrated chefs outside their element cooking on a bbq in the middle of the Brooklyn flea in Fort green or serving in a dark movie theatre.

2013 the event took place in red hook. The chef lineup was smaller but the overall experience itself was still a blast. At these events you can be assured that you will be seated with like minded and overly passionate food loving folks like yourself and by the end of the night the conversations will be flowing.

I would never say that you’ll have the best meal of your life at a Le Fooding event but I would say that the experience is so expertly crafted that it would be hard to forget. The atmosphere is hip and laid back,, exactly what you would expect from a Parisian party!

This year the event will take place at the Rockaway beach. It should be a great event featuring

July 11th – Ivan Orkin (Ivan Ramen)
July  12 – Ludo Lefebvre (Trois Mec, LA)
July 13 – Enrique Olvera (Pujol, Mexico City, and soon Cosme, NY)
Christina Tosi (Momofuku Milk Bar) & Andrew Field (Rockaway Taco) featured all days

I’m particularly stoked about the Cibo matto Dj set of Friday!!!

See you all there!

Here is a little video experiment I threw together. Warning… it’s full of Cheesy amateur transitions.
