Living in South Williamsburg has its perks, great neighborhood, fascinating and talented people and great food. When I moved here the first restaurant I went to was Diner, a tiny converted diner that serves delicious food to beautiful and stylish people. (killer people watching) I love this place. I love what they stand for and love their approach towards food.
Diner is a little different than most restaurants, there is a menu (above), but the real menu is made by a stylish waitress with beautiful penmanship who writes the daily specials on the table. This is one of the quirky and fun things that makes diner a little different than the rest. (that and the fact its open and bustling into the wee hours)
The food, brunch or dinner, never fails to impress me it is always solid and ever changing.
The burgers are some of the best around!! They get their meat one block away at their own butcher shop, Marlow and Daughters. They also make their own bags with the hides from the cows. (Very sustainable and Brooklyn of them.) Info here
